You are trusting us with a photograph of someone you have lost. This page explains exactly what happens to it.

The short version
- You do not create an account. We never ask for your name, email or phone number to make a video.
- Your photograph is sent to an artificial-intelligence provider outside India to generate the video. This is the only way the service works, and it is the most important thing on this page.
- We never store your IP address. We store a one-way cryptographic hash of it, which cannot be reversed.
- Your photograph and your finished video are deleted within 15 days.
- We do not sell your data, and we do not use your photograph to train any model of ours.

This policy is written for the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Under that Act you are the Data Principal and we are the Data Fiduciary — the party responsible for deciding what happens to your data and answerable for it.
What we collect
What you give us
- A photograph. Usually of a person who has died. This is the only file we ask for.
- A name and dates, if you choose. Both are optional. If you leave the name switched off, we never receive one.
- Whether the video is for a father or a mother. This selects the clothing the person is shown wearing.
What we collect automatically
- A device identifier. Generated in your browser to count how many free videos a device has made. It is not linked to your identity and we cannot use it to find you.
- A cookie. A signed, strictly-necessary cookie holding a random identifier, used for the same counting purpose. No advertising or analytics cookies are set.
- A hash of your IP address. We take your IP address, combine it with a secret value, and store only the irreversible SHA-256 result. The address itself is never written to our database or our logs. We do this so a single connection cannot make unlimited free videos, while keeping the address itself out of our hands.
What we never collect
No account, no password, no email address, no phone number, no location, no advertising identifiers, and no card details — if you pay, your card is handled entirely by our payment provider and never reaches our servers.
Why we use it, and on what basis
We use your photograph for one purpose: to make the video you asked for. Our lawful basis is the certain legitimate use of data you have voluntarily provided for a purpose you requested, together with the consent you give when you upload.
The device identifier, the cookie and the IP hash exist to enforce the free-video limit and to prevent abuse. Without them, the free tier would be trivially exhausted by automated requests and the service could not be offered free at all.
We do not use your photograph or your video to train artificial intelligence models, and we do not use them for marketing, advertising or profiling.
How long we keep it
Your photograph and your finished video are deleted within 15 days of being created. Deletion is automatic and applies to the photograph you uploaded, every intermediate image and clip, and the finished video.
We say within 15 days rather than exactly 15 days because automated deletion runs on a schedule and may complete somewhat after the fifteenth day. It is not a promise of deletion at a precise moment.
Download your video before then. Once it is deleted we cannot recover it, and we have no other copy.
A minimal record of the transaction — that a video was made, when, what it cost us, and whether it was paid for — is kept after the media is deleted, because we are required to keep financial records. That record does not contain your photograph.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may:
- ask what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it;
- ask us to correct anything inaccurate;
- ask us to erase it, which we will do promptly rather than waiting for the 15 days to elapse;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated;
- complain to us, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
A practical difficulty you should know about. Because there are no accounts, we usually cannot tell which uploads are yours. The reliable way to reach a specific video is to send us its link — the address of the page you were shown after it was made. Without it we may be unable to identify your data, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise.

Children
This service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly process a child's personal data. Please do not upload a photograph of a living child. If you believe a child's data has reached us, write to support@swargvideo.com and we will delete it.
How we protect it
- Everything travels over HTTPS, and our database connection is verified against a pinned certificate authority.
- Your browser uploads your photograph using a temporary, single-file, write-only credential that expires in minutes and cannot be used to read anything back.
- The link that plays your video is temporary and expires.
- Your IP address is hashed before storage, so a breach of our database would not reveal it.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data we will report it as the Act requires.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. The version in force is the one published here when you upload.
